Warner Bros. Discovery’s legacy Discovery NZ and Discovery Australian offices are proud to take science-based action for the environment with Toitū Carbon Reduce certification.
These Australasian offices met the requirements of Toitū Carbon Reduce certification for 2020 and 2021, having measured our ANZ organisations greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018 and committed to managing and reducing our emissions in respect of our operational activities, resulting in these offices becoming Toitū Carbon Reduce certified.
Based on science and backed by proof, Toitū Carbon Reduce certification gives organisations the tools to reduce their carbon emissions and environmental impact. Initially developed for New Zealand business needs, Toitu programmes now serve more than 400 clients worldwide, are currently available in 17 countries and the certification marks are recognised in over 60 countries.
Toitū Carbon Reduce organisation certification is proof an organisation is positively contributing to the sustainability of our future through measuring and managing their carbon footprint. To achieve Toitū carbon reduce certification, an organisation must measure all operational greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions required under the international standard for carbon footprints, ISO 14064-1, including vehicles, business travel, fuel and electricity, paper, and waste. The emissions are measured annually, and the inventory is independently verified to ensure it is accurate and complete. The organisation must develop plans to continually manage and reduce their emissions. The organisation must reduce emissions on a six-year cycle.
